Do you enjoy working as a nanny, but want the security of a formal employment contract? Working as an employee for a family is possible through one of our partner agencies.
What does working as an employee mean for you?
As a nanny in employment, you are hired directly by the family you work for. You work on the basis of an employment contract and are entitled to standard employment conditions, such as:
Continued payment during illness
You are entitled to salary continuation during illness, as in any regular employment relationship.
Paid holidays
You accrue paid vacation days and receive holiday allowance.
Net salary
You receive a monthly net salary. Payroll taxes and social security contributions are correctly deducted and paid.
Social security
In case of unemployment or long term incapacity for work, you may be entitled to benefits through the Dutch Employee Insurance Agency.

Working as an employee may be a good choice if you:

consciously choose an employment contract instead of working under the Dutch Domestic Services Scheme
This route is also suitable for qualified childcare professionals, healthcare professionals, or others whose education meets the requirements for working as a registered childminder in the Netherlands.
How does it work?
If employment is the preferred structure, we will refer you to specialized agencies that focus on recruiting and selecting nannies for families who are specifically looking for a nanny as an employee.
Once a match has been made and the parents wish to apply for childcare allowance, the childcare arrangement is placed with Kroost Nannies. We then guide the full registration process, ensure that the childcare can formally start, and continue to support and coach both the family and the nanny. We also handle invoicing.
In this way, we ensure that:

and the childcare complies with the requirements of the Dutch Childcare Act
