Working at Kroost Nannies
Our Jobs
After an interview, we review the applications with you and advise which family is the best match for you. You meet the family and do a few trial hours. Then you decide if you’ve found your perfect match!
As a nanny working in a family’s home, you’re part of the childcare sector in your own unique way. You work very independently and have the freedom to organise your day as you see fit. One moment you might be cycling to school with three children in the cargo bike, and the next you’re giving your full attention to the baby.
You don’t just take care of feeding, changing, and giving attention—you also provide calm and routine, contributing to a relaxed family life in which you play an essential role. Read what nannies have to say about their work…
Where will you be working?
As a nanny, you work in the family’s home. You are responsible for everything related to the children and the household while the parents are at work. Kroost Nannies will help you find the family that suits you best. This might be a family with two or three children in your area. It could also be a family with very young children — for example, twins. Or perhaps a family with four children: school-aged kids, a toddler, and maybe even a baby?
Let us know your preferences and think carefully about where you would like to work. What gives you energy? Very young children, or a mix of different ages?
What will you learn?
As a nanny, you work every day on the development of children — and without even noticing, you also work on your own development. You quickly learn to make independent decisions. You learn how to shape the collaboration with parents in the best way — through a friendly group chat, but also by actively sharing your professional insights.
You learn from colleagues you meet during coffee mornings and Nanny Lunches, and through our online and in-person training sessions, which help you look at your work with a fresh perspective.
At Kroost Nannies, pedagogical coaches support your professional and personal development. You can turn to them with questions about child-rearing or working with parents, ensuring you always feel supported in your role.
