After registration

Kroost Nannies will contact you to assess whether we can find a suitable nanny for you. When we expect that we can introduce a nanny to you, we will schedule an introductory/intake meeting. In this first conversation, we explore your wishes and expectations, get to know your children, carry out an initial check of the childcare location (your home), and make follow-up arrangements.

After the intake

After the intake, you will receive a recruitment and selection agreement. This document outlines the arrangements we make during the period in which we search for a nanny on your behalf.

Is there already a nanny or childminder available who meets your requirements? Then a meeting will follow. If not, we will recruit specifically for you. We will post a vacancy on relevant websites—including our own—and share your request within our network. We will keep in regular contact about our actions and the results.

Once you agree to the nanny or childminder we propose, we will prepare a agreement for mediation and support for you, and an employment contract for you and the nanny. This will either be an employment contract under the Regeling Dienstverlening aan Huis (Home Services Scheme) or a regular employment contract. In the employment contract, parents and the nanny agree on childcare days and hours, childcare during (school) holidays, the nanny’s salary, and other arrangements.

Our agreements are based on the model agreements of the Dutch Childcare Sector Organisation (Brancheorganisatie Kinderopvang). The Childcare Act (Wet Kinderopvang) requires childcare organisations to maintain files for parents and nannies. These agreements form the basis of those files.

Before childcare begins, Kroost Nannies, together with the parents and the nanny, ensures the registration of the childcare location in the National Childcare Register (Landelijk Register Kinderopvang, LRK). Some municipalities charge administrative fees for this registration. These fees are the responsibility of the parents.
